Kristi Bixheku, a 30-year-old man declared internationally wanted, has been extradited from the Netherlands to Albania, following a successful operation carried out by Interpol Tirana in cooperation with Dutch authorities.

Bixheku, born in Lushnja, was declared wanted after the security measure "Arrest with imprisonment" was imposed on him by the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan.

Bixheku is accused of a number of criminal offenses, including "Destruction of property with explosives", "Providing material conditions to commit murder", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group".

Bixheku, in collaboration with other citizens, secured the explosive that was placed in Bujar Turk's house on 31.12.2022, in the city of Lushnja.

"Following close cooperation with partners for the localization, capture and extradition of wanted citizens, Interpol Tirana carried out the extradition from the Netherlands of citizen Kristi Bixheku, 30 years old, born in Lushnja.

Citizen Kristi Bixheku was declared internationally wanted after the Elbasan Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction set the security measure, "Arrest with imprisonment", for the criminal offenses "Destruction of property with explosives", "Providing material conditions to commit murder", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group".

Citizen Kristi Bixheku, in collaboration with other citizens, secured the explosive that was placed in the house of citizen BT, on 31.12.2022, in the city of Lushnja.

"As a result of cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol The Hague/Netherlands, the arrest and extradition of the 30-year-old to Albania was possible ," the police announced.
