Execution of the Mujeci couple, Lezha Court leaves Besnik Koldreu in prison

The Lezha Court has ordered the security measure "Arrest in prison" for Besnik Koldreu, arrested as a suspect for involvement in the murder of the couple Kreshnik and Gentjana Mujeci, an event that occurred on April 26 of this year in the village of Balldren.
During the closed-door hearing, the 40-year-old denied any connection to the crime, stating that he lives and works in Montenegro and that he has no knowledge of the circumstances of the incident.
"I live and work in Montenegro. I am not aware that the perpetrators of the crime hid the car they used near the apartment where my parents live (Torovicë)," he is quoted as having testified.
Despite his claims, the court accepted the Prosecution's request and imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on Koldreu for the criminal offense of "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime", committed in collaboration.
We recall that Koldreu was arrested by Montenegrin authorities in Ulcinj on the afternoon of June 17, after being declared wanted by Albanian authorities.
Meanwhile, three other suspects in this serious crime remain at large. They are Renato, Florin and Adriano Mhillaj, who are suspected of having organized and committed the murder in collaboration with each other.
The Mujeci couple were ambushed in the village of Balldren and executed with about 30 bullets while traveling towards Torovica. One of the main leads being investigated is that of revenge, as Kreshnik Mujeci was accused of the murder of Genc Mhillaj in 2016.
