Tragedy from heatwave in France, two children found dead in car

Two children, aged 2 and 4, have been found dead inside a car in southern France, in a tragic incident suspected to be linked to the extreme heatwave that has gripped the country.
According to French authorities, temperatures in the area have reached up to 39 degrees Celsius, while the Carpentras prosecutor's office has announced that heat exposure is the main lead in the investigation.
The circumstances of the incident remain unclear. French media outlet La Provence reported that the children had entered the vehicle without the knowledge of their 33-year-old mother and were trapped inside.
On the other hand, a police source quoted by "Le Parisien" stated that the mother claimed to have forgotten her children in the car while she was shopping.
Firefighters found the minors in cardiorespiratory arrest inside a garage, but attempts to revive them were unsuccessful.
Authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the causes and circumstances of the tragedy.
