First 4 months of 2026: SIGAL paid out 17 million euros in damages in the region

According to official data from the supervisory authorities in the insurance industries of the region, Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia, for the first 4-month period of 2026, in every 5 claims paid to clients by the insurance industry in the region, 1 was compensated by the SIGAL group.

These data rank the company as the leading claims payer in the insurance industry in the region.
In the first 4 months of 2026, according to official data, SIGAL paid out 17 million euros in claims for approximately 23 thousand beneficiaries in life and non-life insurance. The entire insurance industry in the region, life and non-life taken together, paid out 95 million euros.

For the first four months of the year alone in Albania, SIGAL compensated over 7,000 beneficiaries in life and non-life insurance with approximately 9 million euros in claims payments.

In North Macedonia, the SIGAL group indemnified over 4.6 million euros for over 5,700 beneficiaries in life and non-life insurance for the first 4 months of 2026, or, expressed in local currency, around 283.5 million Macedonian denars.

In Kosovo, the SIGAL group paid over 10,300 claims with over 3.2 million euros in life and non-life insurance.

In the three countries in the region, the insurance industry during the period January-April 2026 paid 95.5 million euros in claims, of which 36.8 million euros were paid in North Macedonia, 31.1 million euros in Albania and 27.6 million euros in Kosovo.

Approximately 1 in 5 claims that the insurance industry compensated in the region, 18% of them were paid by SIGAL Insurance Group. 23 thousand concrete beneficiaries prove the value of an insurance contract with SIGAL, the correctness and punctuality of the group in fast and correct claims payments. The data is based on official reports of the three supervisory authorities in the region, AFSA in Albania, CBK in Kosovo and AMS in North Macedonia.
