Seven arrest warrants have been issued by the Special Prosecution Office for high-profile crime figures in the coastal city of Vlora, so in the early hours of this Saturday morning, Special Forces from Tirana landed in the area of the Oslo complex and are conducting searches.
Journalist Klodiana Lala reports that among the individuals for whom arrest warrants have been issued are Flodian Plaku and Ervis Matodoshaj. Two other citizens have been detained in Italy, one in Greece, and the last two are reportedly Ines Hajrulla and Ervis Hajrulla.
It is learned that these persons ordered and executed the murder of citizen Gentjan Qarri, also known by the nickname "Gëçe", an event that occurred near the Orthodox Church Library, in the "29 Nëntotori" neighborhood, on February 6, 2021.
Special Forces have blocked the upper road in the Uji i Ftohtë area, behind the apartment blocks located there, preventing the passage of vehicles and pedestrians, while a drone supports the operation from the air.
The execution that shocked Vlora 5 years ago
The person you see in the photo is Gentjan Qarri, who was about 40 years old when he was killed. Newsbomb.al reported when he was assassinated that the perpetrators shot him from a car, while "Gëçja" was walking on foot on the Lungomare. The perpetrators fired in bursts until the magazine ran out.
Gentjan Qarri went to the hospital in serious condition, but could not survive the wounds to his chest as he received several bullets in his lower limbs and chest, which were fatal.
The young man was known by the nickname "Gëçe" and had returned from Italy a few years earlier, after being sentenced there to 15 years in prison for drugs. SPAK revealed five years later that this citizen was killed due to disagreements and conflicts with criminal groups in Vlora.
The perpetrators kept him under surveillance and as soon as Gentjan Qarri left the bar where he was sitting, the "Toyota Yaris" vehicle drove parallel to him and opened fire. It was found burning in the Soda Forest and inside the car was a Shars-type weapon.
