The High Court rejects the appeal of the suspected perpetrator of the murder of 14-year-old Martin Cani, Mario Përlleshaj, for the security measure of imprisonment.
"Rejection of the appeal filed by the person under investigation - the minor in conflict with the MP law, against decision no. 30-2024-9430/2949, dated 17.12.2024, of the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction"
The 15-year-old Përlleshaj, who is being held at the Juvenile Institute in Kavaja, requested a more lenient security measure.
A few days ago, the Tirana Court transferred the file to his charge for trial, while rejecting his request for a summary trial that, if found guilty, would reduce his sentence by 1/3.
