The culture of violence in live broadcast

In one sense, we get from fixed television what we want most; verbal violence and extreme contempt for the opponent. Look at the formats of all the political debates that take place on all our televisions; look at Blend Fevziu, Eni Vasili, Sokol Balla, Grida Duma; look at how the guests fight and despise each other – ready to tear out their throats.
Look at how Edi Rama despises and insults his opponents, the violent language supposedly filled with metaphors – in fact, a violent slang – that spares no one: filled with toads and toads, with scum and filth.
The culture of violence in public discourse has been present since the years of dictatorship, where the state itself was the greatest violator of Albanian lives. Violence is widespread throughout society, in villages and cities, in neighborhoods and within the family. It is very rare in the civilized world for people to be killed for the same reasons that they are killed in Albania:
“Why are you looking at me, sister?” – and bam, bullet in the forehead.
But damn, is that a reason to kill a person?!
Then what did you expect when you locked up a violent and loudmouthed bully for several months?! You didn't need to be a psychologist to understand that at least half of those locked up in that house were unsuitable for isolation. People with emotional burdens, complexes, and sometimes with unspoken desires for aggressive protagonism – and television fed them, treated them like gladiators in an arena for our entertainment. And now we are surprised by the violence?
One must strongly hope that this story will end here. But apparently, it will not. Because the next day another format will come, another spectacle war, another "candidate for violence" that will once again promote what it essentially is: ill-informed banality for entertainment.
And finally: some friends are "criticizing" me because I watched Big Brother. Calm down – I didn't watch Big, but Big watched me. I couldn't go to the Opera last night. I'm Albanian too. I don't have any vaccine against collective absurdity.
