The court leaves Gentiana Hudhra's murderer in prison, the victim's

The arrest of Nikollaq Hudhra, 55 years old, of Albanian origin, who confessed to the murder of his ex-wife, Gentiana Hudhra, 45 years old, also Albanian, was confirmed by the preliminary investigation judge of the Court of Macerata, Daniela Bellesi.

The woman, a caregiver by profession, was brutally stabbed to death on Saturday evening, June 14, in a small square on Viale Benadduci, near the historic center of Tolentino in Italy.

Garlic, separated from the victim three years ago, was questioned via video link from Montacuto in Ancona, where he is being held in prison. The judge found not only serious evidence of guilt, but also a concrete risk of repeating the crime. After the crime, the man did not try to escape: he sat on a bench, looking at the lifeless body of his wife, and awaited the arrival of the carabinieri.

During the hearing, Gudhra displayed a cold and ruthless attitude, calling his ex-wife with insulting epithets such as "monster" and "snake", stating that he killed her "to free his children", according to what his lawyer, Lucia Testarmata, reported to Ansa.

Precisely by order of the judge, a medical-psychiatric evaluation will be conducted to determine the defendant's physical and mental condition and his compatibility with the prison regime.

Meanwhile, the autopsy on the victim's body is scheduled for Thursday morning at 9:00, at the hospital morgue in Macerata. The prosecution may also decide to question the couple's two children in the coming days, to gather further information on the family environment and possible signs of past violence.

To commemorate Gentiana and send a strong signal against femicide, the Municipality of Tolentino has organized a public torchlight procession for tonight, at 9:00 PM in Piazza della Libertà. The procession will arrive in Viale Benadduci, where a red bench, a symbol of the fight against violence against women, will be inaugurated.
