Wrongful overtaking on the Librazhd-Qafë Thane axis, police fine 2 drivers 100 thousand lek

Elbasan Police have announced that they have identified and subsequently fined 2 drivers who were overtaking illegally on the "Librazhd-Qaf Thane" road axis.
The video showing the wrong overtaking has gone viral online and police say that according to the law, they have been fined 10,000 lek.
"Specialists from the Traffic Police Sector have identified the drivers of these 2 vehicles and have imposed an administrative fine of 10,000 new lek on each of them, based on points 16 and 10 of Article 146 and point 5 of Article 198 of the Traffic Code.
"The Elbasan Local Police Directorate invites citizens to report any case of violation of road traffic rules to 112 and the Digital Commissariat, and guarantees them that it will react immediately and in accordance with the law ," the official Elbasan police announcement states.
