The Port of Saranda has notified citizens to respect maritime safety measures, emphasizing the ban on sailing for small and tourist vessels due to deteriorating weather conditions.

According to authorities, strong winds and high waves pose a risk to safe navigation in the southern coastal area of ​​the country.

"Due to the deterioration of atmospheric and marine conditions, including high-intensity winds and waves beyond the permitted norms for safe navigation, the granting of permits and any departures to the sea of ​​floating vehicles, including tourist vehicles, fishing boats and small boats, is prohibited in the entire bay and coastal area of ​​Saranda, Ksamil and Borsh.

This ban comes into effect on 04/02/2026, 01:00, and will remain active until 05.02.2026, 04:00.

"It is hereby announced that the Saranda-Corfu ferry line will continue normally until further notice," the announcement states.
