Minister Spiropali meets with Trump's Special Assistant at the White House:

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, visited the White House in Washington, United States of America, this morning.

At the White House, Spiropali was received by Charles McLaughlin, Special Assistant to President Trump who also serves as Senior Director for Europe and Russia at the National Security Council.

The meeting focused on the potential for deepening the Albania-US strategic partnership and particularly on Albania's new role as a Founding Member of the Peace Board.

Spiropali writes on the official website that "the representation by Prime Minister Rama in this noble initiative of President Trump, in addition to repositioning Albania as an active contributor to security and peace issues, gives another dimension to co-ordination with our historical ally, the USA."

The Minister emphasized that "together with Director McLaughlin, we shared the conviction that the Peace Board will be essentially the Action Board, a principles-oriented initiative for sustainable conflict resolution."

Spiropali also announced that "Albania is honored to stand alongside the US as an inaugural member of the International Stabilization Force, ISF, in line with President Trump's 20-point plan for Gaza, as a country that exports stability and security."

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister confirmed Albania's readiness to hold the second session of the Strategic Dialogue, which will further deepen relations between the two countries in all sectors of common economic, trade, energy and development interest.
