The announcement of the decision for the ANA defendants in the Appeal of the GJKKO, regarding the security measure, is postponed.

The hearing took place this Tuesday, and the panel of judges decided that the verdict would be announced on February 5th.

The former director of ANA, Mirlinda Karçanaj, was represented at the hearing by her defense attorney.

Also present at the session were SPAK prosecutors, Bledar Maksuti and Altin Dumani, who requested that the previous security measure for the defendants be left in force.

According to the prosecution, the evidence presented in the Appeal is related to some new evidence administered during this period by SPAK investigators, which, according to them, reinforces the suspicions against the defendants.

The Director of the National Agency for the Information Society (AKSHI), Mirlinda Karçanaj, appeared on December 3 at the Special Prosecutor's Office as part of an investigation into abuses with tenders conducted by the institution she heads.

SPAK is investigating 12 tender procedures, involving significant amounts, related to the maintenance of servers of important institutions.

Investigations show that the tender criteria were predetermined by the competing companies and in this way, they managed to win millions.

AKSHI is an institution at the center of accusations and even one of its former officials, Daniel Shima, disappeared suspiciously for 10 hours, where he is thought to have been held hostage by a criminal group in Elbasan.

AKSHI's main client is businessman Ermal Beqiri, owner of the company "Soft & Solution", who is known as the "devourer" of public money through tenders of the National Agency for the Information Society (AKSHI).
