The chaos created in the pharmaceutical market due to the change in drug prices, in some cases with price increases, is confirmed by the Order of Pharmacists, which considers it an arbitrary intervention by the Fund, the consequences of which are being suffered by patients who are not receiving reimbursable drugs these days, as the burden of price reductions falls on pharmacists.
When filling prescriptions with reimbursement, pharmacists face a drastic price reduction in the system, but this has not been reflected in pharmaceutical warehouses since the reduction has not been applied throughout the system. As is clearly seen in this communication between the pharmacy and the warehouse.
"We are not understanding whether the pharmacists' order is indexation, is it abuse or a mistake? Because we have not been informed about this ," said Dëfrim Goma.
The new list of reimbursable drugs is expected to be released in a month, and this is expected to create another impasse, leading to a shortage of drugs on the reimbursable list, as the drug evaluation commission has set the prices at which drugs should be imported from pharmaceutical companies.
"You can't impose because they have no interest in a market," said Defrim Goma.
The head of the pharmacists' order says that there are dozens of drugs that companies no longer bring to the Albanian market for this reason.
In a reaction today, the Ministry of Health does not admit that there is an increase in the price of medicines, but only a reduction in the only alternatives, which according to it was done in accordance with the law, but does not explain why the reduction was not applied to the entire pharmaceutical chain, who will take responsibility for the penalty created for the stock in order to unblock the situation and patients can receive medicines with reimbursement. / Top Channel
