Prominent Albanian violinist Robert Papavrami passes away
The prominent Albanian violinist Robert Papavrami passed away today.
Papavram was a violin teacher for several generations of Albanian artists and the father of fellow violinist Tedi Papavram.
The Academy of Sciences has shared a message of condolence on the passing of the violinist.
"The Permanent Commission of Arts at the Academy of Sciences expresses its deepest condolences to the world-famous violinist Tedi Papavrami, on the passing of Robert Papavrami, his father and teacher. The Albanian violin school today is poorer with this loss, but we are comforted that the artistic legacy he left behind continues to new heights, thanks to your achievements, dear Tedi. May you live and be remembered! ", writes the Academy of Sciences.
In November 2014, Robert Papavrami, the violin teacher of several generations of Albanian artists, was honored by Prime Minister Edi Rama with the Medal of Gratitude for his long contribution to Albanian art.
