Molotov cocktail on Saturday, shopping on Thursday!

The drama of the Democratic Party today is one of the biggest problems of Albania and Albanians, who continue to be robbed every day by the silent collaboration between the ruling party and the opposition.

The DP, held hostage by Sali Berisha and his personal troubles, is being held hostage by a group of political parasites who have never built anything in their lives outside of politics. And the few who have had any other public engagement, carry on their shoulders the shadows of corruption that have forced them to leave the areas where they operated, to continue their political careers in other cities.

It is not at all new that the DP deputies make a spectacle in Parliament and television studios, while behind the cameras they share bargains, interests and businesses with the opponents they supposedly attack. Sali Berisha has cursed and cursed non-stop, inside and outside the Parliament, just to cover the next bargain with Edi Rama. The more Berisha shouts, the greater the compromise between them seems. Every time he accuses the "enemy", behind the scenes he is negotiating the next agreement.

The same scene played out today. While Berisha continued his public attacks and fiery rhetoric, the news confirmed that the DP and the SP had reached an agreement on the integration resolution and other parliamentary changes. The agreement was sealed at midnight, while the smoke of the attacks continued into the morning for media consumption.

Because there is no negotiating with a man who is accused of being connected to crime; he is either confronted or overthrown. Meanwhile, Berisha's accusations often seem like a means to throw ash in the eyes of the democrats who still continue to blindly follow him.

If Europe, as Berisha claims, has blocked integration because of Rama, today Berisha did him the greatest honor.
In the resolution, the opposition appreciates the progress made, as Rama says, and "commits to ensuring full participation in parliamentary activity in accordance with democratic standards, the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly".
So, despite the claims of Sali Berisha and those who are pulling his nose by making him look ridiculous in front of Albanians in order to grab some position in the party's race, the opposition will be a sheep in Rama's flock in parliament.

From the moment Edi Rama gave him his seal and political legitimacy, Sali Berisha has been subservient to him on every key issue. He has voted for or facilitated every vital process for Rama's government, to supporting his name on international boards and forums, in a manner unprecedented for a European opposition.

Sali Berisha knows that he will never return to power. And all he does today is hold the Democratic Party hostage, to guarantee the political survival and financial interests of his family and clientelistic circle. While the Democrats are served every day the revolution on the screen and the bargain behind closed doors./Alfapress.al
