The Administrative Court of Appeal suspends the lawyers' boycott, the processes at the GJKKO are unblocked

The Administrative Court of Appeal has decided to suspend the effects of the decision on the boycott of lawyers, approved by the Governing Council of the Chamber of Advocates, until the case is reviewed on its merits.

The decision comes after the request of the Anti-Corruption Lawyers Association, which opposed the boycott imposed by the Chamber of Advocates.

Through this decision, the boycott is temporarily suspended, paving the way for the continuation of the judicial processes at the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime.

Lawyers had stopped attending hearings in defiance of the regulation prohibiting the use of mobile phones inside courtrooms.

The suspension measure will remain in effect until the court reviews the case, while the final decision will determine the legality of the lawyers' boycott.
