Another teenager was killed, Martin Can's mother reacts: Don't take our children away

The repeated tragedy of a teenager losing his life to violence has once again shocked public opinion. Following the news of the death of 15-year-old Erjon Boba in Durrës, Florina Cani, the mother of Martin Cani, the 15-year-old boy who was killed a year ago in Tirana by a peer, has reacted.
In a statement to Top Channel, Florina Cani erupted in pain and revolt, demanding urgent response from institutions and more protection for children.
" My soul is shaken again. I have written about Erjon many times; I want to be the voice of our children, but the truth is painful.
Why don't the institutions react? School should be a place of safety, not war. Martini, Eraldo, Erjoni... Children's names that should never have been part of the news of violence. They are wounds to our hearts and an alarm for the entire society.
I ask for protection for our children. Don't touch our children, don't take our children. Wake up! Take action, stop the violence. Our children have the right to live," she said.
15-year-old Erjon Boba lost his life after being stabbed several days later in critical condition during a conflict with his peers in Durrës. The incident occurred on “Laguna e Karavastasë” street, in the former Kënetës area, where according to police, the fight began after a debate on social media.
Sources said the teenagers met "to clarify things," but the argument escalated into a physical fight. During the altercation, a 14-year-old with the initials MK stabbed Erjon four times, causing serious injuries.
The injured man was rushed to Durres hospital and underwent surgery, but despite the doctors' efforts, he did not survive his injuries. The suspected perpetrator was immediately arrested by the police.
