Driver of "Benz" arrested after fatally hitting elderly man in Fier

A 34-year-old man has been arrested by the Police in Fier, accused of fatally hitting an elderly man with a car.

The incident was recorded the day before, in the village of Fiershegan, Lushnja municipality, where 34-year-old EK collided with 60-year-old EP in a "Benz", who consequently lost his life in the Lushnja hospital.

"Road Traffic Specialists of the Fier Police Department have arrested the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident, citizen EK, 34 years old, resident of the village of Fiershegan, Lushnje municipality," the Police statement said.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further legal action.
