Other problems with justice for Jani Aliaj, file in the Criminal Court for murder and drug trafficking

Considered for years as one of the most wanted persons in the country, Jani Aliaj, arrested a few months ago in Greece for the murder of Elton Çiço, will face another trial in Albania where he is suspected of attempted murder and drug trafficking.

This is about an event that occurred 10 years ago in the village of Frashër in Përmet, where a person was injured during an attempt to rob 100 kilograms of cannabis, and which the Albanian justice system considers to have been committed by a criminal group.

The case was investigated by the Përmet Prosecutor's Office, which charged several people, including Aliaj, as the person who had ordered the quantity of narcotics to purchase and then organized its robbery.

But the General Appeal in Tirana, which reviewed this file from the Përmet Court, decided to retry it and send it to the Special Court due to the latter's competence to try criminal groups.
