A villa valued at around 500 thousand euros has been seized by the Guardia di Finanza from an Albanian citizen, who is being investigated for drug trafficking.

According to the investigations, the person had accumulated large financial resources over time, incompatible with the declared income, which had enabled him to purchase the seized property.

This act is the result of complex economic and property controls, coordinated by the Ravenna Prosecutor's Office and executed by officers of the Guardia di Finanza.

In particular, the analysis of the suspect's family's bank accounts showed a strange management of funds. During the years investigated, spending on basic family needs, such as buying food and clothes, was minimal, as was the almost total absence of cash withdrawals and fuel payments.

Cash and the connection to drug trafficking

Thanks to the cross-checking of information collected during the investigation, regarding the suspect's illegal activities, it was found that the supply of money to bank accounts, based on his income from work, was possible due to the large amount of cash coming from the illegal activities for which he was being investigated.

Disproportion between income and wealth

From the reconstruction of the economic-financial profile of the entire family, it was noted that the suspect had assets incompatible with the declared income, especially with the purchase of a luxury property.

Seizure imposed by the local Judicial Authority is a measure that allows the confiscation of assets suspected of being illegal, when they are disproportionate to the declared income.
