The appearance of illegal constructions in Ksamil, Balla flash visit to Saranda: Let's protect the "Maldives of Europe"

"I am in Saranda today with the concern that comes from the fact that the State Police identified two days ago, several constructions without permission, precisely in one of the most beautiful areas of Albanian tourism, such as Ksamili. And I want to remind the Mayor and all other law-enforcement structures that for us, environmental crime is intolerable. And we must do everything in the coming days, weeks and months to increase our presence and control over the territory. It is true, we are very proud of the fact that Saranda, Ksamil and all the other tourist destinations covered by the municipality of Saranda are today on the pages of the world's leading newspapers and media, with the most beautiful titles such as, "Caribbean of Europe", or "Maldives of Europe". But we must do what is possible so that this wealth that God and nature have given us, we do what we can to protect them. And therefore it is very important to increase our presence and control in the territory".

“Nënprefekti sëbashku me Prefektin, do duhet të drejtojnë punën për të gjitha masat që duhen ndërmarrë në luftën kundër fenomenit të zjarrvënies. Vitet e kaluara kemi pasur në Sarandë shumë raste të cilat kanë shkatërruar pasuri të rëndësishme pyjore të Sarandës. Dhe prandaj duhet të jemi shumë të vëmendshëm, ndërsa presim në ditët dhe javët në vijim një rritje të temperaturave, kjo shoqërohet shpeshherë edhe më rritje të numrit të zjarreve. Këtë vit i kemi dalë përpara me një rol të shtuar të Policisë së Shtetit për të identifikuar gjithkënd që është i përfshirë në zjarrvënie, qoftë me dashje apo pa dashje. Dua të kujtoj këtu që Kodi Penal në Republikën e Shqipërisë përcakton dënim deri në 15 vite burg për këdo që përfshihet në zjarrvënie. Ne na duhet një koordinim edhe më i mirë mes bashkisë, institucionit të Prefektit, Policisë së Shtetit dhe, natyrshëm, edhe me institucionin e Prokurorisë për t’i dalë përpara këtij fenomeni”.

Gjithashtu Ministri i Brendshëm Balla ndërsa prezantoi dhe Nënprefektin e ri të Sarandës, Kristo Kiço nënvizoi edhe rëndësinë që ka roli dhe institucioni i Prefektit dhe Nënprefektit në territor si dhe ka vlerësuar faktin që deri më tani ky sezon turistik ka shkuar mirë duke thyer rekord.

“Prefekti dhe Nënprefekti kanë një peshë të rëndësishme edhe në disa prej detyrave që ne kemi përgjatë zhvillimit të sezonit turistik, i cili duhet theksuar se viti 2023 do të shënojë rekordin tonë historik të turistëve që kanë vizituar Sarandën dhe gjithë Shqipërinë. Por roli ynë, i të gjithëve që jemi këtu, dhe të gjitha institucioneve tona të varësisë, është të garantojmë pushime të qeta, të sigurta. Konstatoj me shumë pozitivitet faktin që deri tani në Sarandë sezoni turistik ka shkuar mirë dhe roli ynë është që ta përmbyllim këtë sezon turistik pa asnjë incident dhe me rezultate sa më të mira.

Balla është shprehur se roli i institucionit të prefektit do të ketë tashmë një peshë më të madhe, pasi do të shkojnë në Kuvend ndryshimet ligjore për këtë qëllim.
