At noon this Sunday, the cities and villages of the Elbasan Region were hit by bad weather accompanied by heavy rainfall.

Many parts of the Elbasan region, including all towns and villages, experienced a deterioration in weather conditions that brought difficulties to the movement of citizens in their daily activities, especially from 14:00 to 15:00 when the intensity of the rainfall was quite heavy.

In the deep mountainous areas of the municipalities of Librazhd, Prrenjas, Gramsh, but also Elbasan, snowfall has begun, but with negligible thickness at the moment.

Temperatures have dropped significantly this weekend, increasing the difficulties for those living in these areas and creating a difficult situation for normal movement in rural areas and becoming an obstacle to outdoor activities.

However, the Civil Emergencies of the municipalities of Elbasan, Librazhd, Prrenjas, Gramsh, Cërrik, Peqin and Belsh report that the bad weather has not caused serious problems for the lives of citizens and the situation is being kept under control.

The authorities have acted immediately to guarantee the safety of citizens and to avoid any possible danger. Meanwhile, due to the prevailing rainy weather, there has been a fall of inert materials in several segments of the Elbasan-Librazhd-Prrenjas national road, especially in the places called "Murrashit Bends", "Dragostunjës Bends" and "Pishkash Bends", where stones have fallen from the heights of the hills and there have been massive landslides.

However, fortunately there were no incidents and the situation was managed quite well. Authorities have taken the necessary measures to clear the roads and ensure safety in these areas.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, emergency and civil protection services have been working closely to ensure that any potential worsening situation is kept under control and that citizens are protected from the potential dangers of severe weather.
