A 45-year-old man, on the run since November 2024, was arrested at Milan Malpensa airport. The arrest was made thanks to the joint intervention of police officers from the Central Operations Service and the Guardia di Finanza of Varese.

The man had just arrived from Albania and was wanted for his involvement in a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking.

According to information published on the website of the Italian State Police, the man had escaped the execution of an arrest warrant during Operation “Moby Dick.” This operation led to the issuance of 43 precautionary measures against a criminal organization specialized in drug trafficking, which operated in several European countries, as well as in Dubai and Singapore.
