Trafficked 10 Ekol Special pistols/ File with 4 defendants sent to court

Four people from Kosovo who managed to set up a trafficking and trading line for "Ekol Special" pistols in Albania have been indicted by the Tirana prosecutor's office.

We are talking about a group like Blerim Krasniqi, Benjamin Shala, Edonis Thaçi and Muhamed Krasniqi, who have already been indicted and accused of "Arms Trafficking" committed in collaboration.

During the investigations conducted, the prosecutor in the case, Drini Pali, found that the 4 above-mentioned individuals had managed, on several different occasions, to smuggle several pistols from Kosovo into Albania and then sell them in Tirana.

The group in question sold firearms for between 1,500 and 2,000 euros, including transport on buses coming to Albania from Kosovo. At the time of their arrest, 10 "Ekol Special" pistols were also seized from them.

The investigation showed that there were several cases where in most of the episodes the organizer was Valter Osmani, who devised the trafficking and trade of weapons from Kosovo towards Albania.

This episode followed the operation carried out in February 2024, where the police seized 203 C4 TNT canisters, declaring two Kosovars Dritëro Azemi, Flaka Avdullahi wanted and arresting Rigon Maliqi, Shkëlqim Halabaku and Lion Pira, all three from Gjilan, Kosovo.

In both cases, the police activated a police agent, creating trust among the traffickers for the purchase of ammunition and weapons, for an amount of 1,500 euros each.

While in the third case, two agents again purchased within the ranks of the arms trade group, 6 "Zoraki" pistols, with a value ranging from 900 euros to 1 thousand euros.

According to police sources, the pistols were purchased from Valter Osmani, Euxhenjo Manushi and other people./ Oranews
