The family of Doriana Haka, the wife of goalkeeper Alban Hoxha, who passed away just 2 weeks after giving birth to their son, is demanding justice for their daughter's death.
" We have been waiting for justice for 11 years, there was a confrontation between experts, questions and answers, it lasted a little too long and I revolted and spoke in the court session, I hope the judges take it into account, my soul burns, my heart hurts. I hope for a justice delayed but not forgotten. My child wants justice, a child who grows up without a mother wants justice, please judge, look at me, I have the right, that's why I asked to deal with the courts, nothing else, I simply want justice, justice without end," said Hamide Haka.
Enver, the father of the deceased, says that the courts have been dragging out the case for years, but he will not stop seeking justice.
" I have been struggling in the courts for 11 years, I don't know how to explain it. We expect the Court of Appeal to give us justice that we are not getting, they are harassing us, postponing hearings, it's been 3 years at the Court of Appeal."
"I only want justice and I will not part with it as long as I live, until I close my eyes, I do not forgive like this, justice only justice, nothing else, I look to the court, I open my eyes only to the judges giving the verdict, that 11 years have passed ," Enver Haka claimed.
The Haka family's lawyer, Bashkim Sulstarova, told News 24 that the Appeals Chamber heard the experts and expects a fair decision.
"We expect justice from the court, just as the family members claim, and we are confident that the jury, based on the evidence they will review in a general analysis, will come to a fair conclusion based on evidence and the law ," said Bashkim Sulstarova. Doriana Haka, the wife of former Partizan goalkeeper Alban Hoxha, lost her life in November 2014, two weeks after giving birth to her first child.
