Murder of Mondi Mahalla, date set for security measure against Nevzat Spaho

The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan has today registered the Prosecution's request for the imposition of a security measure against Nevzat Spaho, suspected of involvement in the murder of businessman Mondi Mëhalla five days ago.
According to the official announcement, the request is for "Validation of detention, assignment of security measures", while the hearing will be held tomorrow, December 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. The process will be held behind closed doors, due to the nature of the case.
On Sunday evening (November 30), businessman Edmond Hyka alias Mondi Mëhalla was executed inside his Range Rover.
The 43-year-old's body was found inside a car at around 8:35 p.m., in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood of the city of Elbasan. The victim had just left his office, near which his mother's businesses and home are located.
The moment he got into the car, he was shot with a gun and received three bullets, two of which were in the head, causing his instant death.
Police services then arrived at the scene, setting up checkpoints at all exits from the city, while searches were conducted in the area and in various locations to apprehend the perpetrators.
Also, the vehicle used by the perpetrators is suspected to have been a black Audi, which sped away in the direction of the Elbasan-Librazhd road axis.
The assassins, after ensuring that the 43-year-old had died, fled in a black Audi towards the Elbasan-Librazhd axis.
