Turkey has given positive signals on the eve of the World Cup, triumphing with a resounding 4-0 victory over North Macedonia in a friendly match played under the guidance of coach Vincenzo Montella.
The Turkish national team started the match briskly, finding the advantage in the second minute with Orkun Kökçü, who completed a quick move to put his team ahead.
Turkey's dominance continued in the 16th minute, when Can Uzun doubled the lead, giving the team a clear lead from the first half. With the score 2-0, the teams headed to the locker rooms.
Even after returning to the field, Montella's team maintained their attacking rhythm. In the 53rd minute, Deniz Gül scored the third goal, while Barış Alper Yılmaz sealed the success with the fourth goal in the 70th minute.
In Oslo, Norway won 3-1 against their “neighbors” Sweden. Jorgen Strand Larsen and Leipzig striker Antonio Nusa scored twice for the Norwegians. Alexander Isak pulled one back for the Swedes in the 76th minute.
