The Acting Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Eva Palatova, has called for the rapid formation of institutions after the June 7 elections, emphasizing the need for political compromise between parties for the election of the country's president.

As part of the activities marking Europe Day, Palatova said that the European Union expects Kosovo to establish a stable government with a strong parliamentary majority, in order to continue implementing reforms within the framework of the European agenda.

"We need to see a rapid formation of institutions, with a government that has a strong majority in parliament, that has the ability to generate healthy inter-party compromises to elect the president and continue with reforms," she declared.

According to her, such institutional stability is important not only for the internal functioning of the country, but also for advancing integration processes towards the European Union.

Palatova also emphasized the multiethnic character of Kosovo, describing it as an important value for EU member states.

"Thirdly, the multi-ethnic character of Kosovo is of great value to all our member states. All our capitals observe its preservation, constructive engagement with all majority communities, so that all Kosovars, regardless of ethnicity, feel that they have a home and a perspective here," she said.
