The son of Norway's crown princess: I am under the influence of drugs, I have disorders and I apologize to my girlfriend

Finally Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Norway's crown princess Mette-Marit, breaks his silence and comments for the first time on his harsh reaction that happened about 10 days ago.
On the night of August 4, he was reported to have assaulted a young woman in her Oslo apartment and was subsequently arrested. Now he accepts everything and apologizes.
Høiby made this written statement to Norwegian public broadcaster NRK through his lawyer Øyvind Bratlien:
"Something happened last weekend that should never have happened. I assaulted and destroyed property in a residence during an argument and under the influence of cocaine.
I have multiple mental health disorders that have caused and continue to challenge me throughout my childhood and adult life.
For a long time I struggled with drug use, something I had previously been treated for. I will now resume this treatment and take it very seriously.
But my drug use and diagnoses do not justify what happened on Sunday night last weekend in Frogner's apartment (Oslo district). I want to be held responsible for what I have done and I will explain myself honestly to the police", says the 27-year-old's reaction.
In fact, photos from the scene show a frenzy of destruction. When the police arrived, a knife was embedded deep into the wall. A broken chandelier lay on the wooden floor of the apartment in Oslo.
Perhaps under pressure from his mother and the royal family, Marius Borg Høiby tells his alleged victim of violence through his lawyer:
"The most important thing for me is to apologize to my girlfriend. She did not deserve what happened that night nor the extreme pressure from the Norwegian and foreign press afterwards. I know it was difficult to be followed by photographers and journalists at a time like this. I also want to apologize to my family. I know my actions have had a great impact on you as well.”
The Crown Princess' son declined interview requests through his lawyer. The lawyer said: "the letter was written in his own words according to his wish. There will be no further comment and no questions will be answered.”
The alleged victim, with whom Marius is "in a relationship" according to the prosecutor, suffered a shock and was taken to the hospital that night.
However, it has not yet been confirmed if it is his current partner, surfer Rebecca Helberg Arntsen.
