Germany has accused Russia of a cyberattack on air traffic control and attempts to interfere in the election process, summoning the Russian ambassador to Berlin for a meeting.
The German Foreign Ministry spokesman stated that Russian military intelligence was responsible for "a cyberattack on German air traffic control in August 2024."
He added that Russia also attempted to influence and destabilize the federal elections held in February this year.
According to him, Germany, in close cooperation with European partners, will take countermeasures to make Russia “pay a price for its hybrid actions.” There has been no reaction from Moscow yet.
