Passing the peak of his career, the Albanian star is seriously injured and leaves the field on a stretcher

Red and black midfielder Medon Berisha suffered an injury, which at first glance appears serious, during the match between Lecce and Pisa in Serie A.
The Albanian footballer, who was in exceptional form in the Italian championship, left the field in tears, where medical staff had to take him on a stretcher to perform further examinations.
According to Italian media, Berisha's injury appears to be serious, as it is thought to be a rupture of the adductor muscles.
"The initial impression for Medon Berisha is a tear in the adductor muscles ," says a report by one of the Italian media outlets.
If such a diagnosis is confirmed, Berisha will be out of action for several months and could even jeopardize the 2026 World Cup play-offs.
Berisha was the most in-form midfielder this season, making 12 appearances in the Italian championship, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
