Israel retaliates, bombed Hezbollah's command center in Beirut: We will not tolerate any attack on our territory!

The Israeli military carried out an airstrike on a Hezbollah command center in Beirut's southern Dahieh neighborhood on Sunday, in response to a rocket attack by the Shiite group on Israeli territory.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the operation in a joint statement, stressing that Israel "will not tolerate any attack on its territory."

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the facility hit was being used by Hezbollah to plan attacks against civilians and Israeli soldiers stationed in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military said that measures were taken to minimize the risk to the civilian population before the bombing, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
