US investigators head to India to investigate serious plane crash

American investigators are traveling to India to help investigate the plane crash that occurred today at Ahmedabad airport.
The US National Transportation Safety Board has been entrusted with leading the American team in this investigation.
In a post on the social network X, the board announced that it will be the "leader" of the American team, while the Indian government will provide "all information" according to international protocols of the International Civil Aviation Organization, an agency of the United Nations.
Meanwhile, UK officials are also being sent to India to support the investigation into the plane crash.
The plane that crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad airport was a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, a model manufactured in the US.
Over 200 deaths have been confirmed so far from this tragic accident.
