The story of the richest beggar in the world, how he managed to earn 1 million
A man from Mumbai, India has earned the title of "world's richest beggar" after amassing a whopping $1 million fortune by begging.

Bharat Jain, who lives in the financial capital of India, has turned begging into a real "art". Every day he manages to earn about 2,500 rupees ($30) from passers-by, which translates to a monthly average of 75,000 rupees ($913).

Although these numbers may seem small in countries like the US, India's low cost of living and property prices give its income huge purchasing power.

Through his earnings, Bharat has managed to buy a two-room apartment in Mumbai, which is valued at 12 million rupees (about $146,000). He also owns two shops in Thane city, which he rents out for Rs 30,000 per month.

Due to the difficult conditions Bharat has not been educated but has ensured that his children receive a quality education in private schools.

Bharat spends 10 to 12 hours every day begging at Chhatrapati Shivaji railway station and Azad Maidan sports ground. Although his family has asked him to stop begging and live off property rentals, Bharat has no plans to 'retire'.

Bharat Jain's income exceeds the average salary required for a comfortable life in Mumbai, which is estimated at around $730 per month. This makes his story unique, but at the same time it raises questions about the perception of begging and the possibilities that some individuals can create even in the most unusual conditions.
