Iran raised the red flag of revenge over the dome of the Jamkaran Mosque after the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. The red flag symbolizes the blood of martyrs and calls for justice and punishment.
" It is our duty to take revenge ," Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, said earlier today.
The last time the flag was displayed was on the eve of Iran's missile and drone attack on Israel in April this year, Kashmir Observer writes.
We recall that the political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, was killed today in Tehran. The killing reportedly took place hours after he attended the inauguration of Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian.
