China unveils weapon that can paralyze entire cities

Chinese state television has released a video showing a new weapon that is launched from a vehicle and splits into several carbon filaments, which interrupt the supply of electricity to transformers and substations.
In the footage, the bomb disintegrates and releases about 90 cylindrical sub-shells. These carbon cylinders spread out over the ground and then rise back into the air to scatter over a designated area, creating a total blackout without causing structural damage.
According to the South China Morning Post, this bomb has a range of 290 kilometers and a payload weighing about 490 kilograms. Chinese military experts emphasize that in the future the 'bomb' is expected to be adapted for cruise missiles, creating devastating effects in the event of war.
Chen Chundi, editor of the magazine "Modern Ships", points out that this weapon is already operational for the People's Army of China and can be equipped with a special steering mechanism that corrects its course according to wind conditions, making it even more precise.
This type of weapon, otherwise known as a 'blackout bomb', aims in modern wars to completely paralyze the electrical infrastructure of strategic areas, without causing direct casualties in people or buildings.
