Israel-Iran conflict, two US airlines suspend passenger flights to the Middle East

United Airlines and American Airlines have suspended flights to the Middle East due to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
"Due to the conflict in the region, United's daily flights between Newark and Dubai have been suspended," United said in a statement.
United said it will monitor the situation and work with customers during the outage.
American Airlines has also changed its schedule between Doha, Qatar, and Philadelphia International Airport through June 22. A flight from Doha to Philadelphia departed early Thursday, the airline said.
"We will continue to monitor the situation with safety and security in mind and will further adjust our operation as needed," American said in a statement.
