Gaza War/ 40 Palestinians killed in 24 hours by Israeli attacks

The war in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas has reached its 569th day.

The TASS news agency reports that in the last 24 hours at least 40 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas has proposed the release of all hostages still being held in Gaza and has said it is willing to accept a five-year ceasefire in exchange for an end to the war.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has warned that it has exhausted all its food supplies in the Gaza Strip, where Israel has blocked the entry of all humanitarian aid since March 2.
