War in the Middle East, Starmer and Trump hold a phone conversation, here's what the two leaders discussed

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump about the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The two leaders discussed "military cooperation between the UK and the US through the use of RAF (Royal Air Force) bases in support of the collective self-defence of partners in the region," according to a statement from the prime minister's office about the call.

Trump wrote on Social Truth yesterday that the UK did not need to deploy aircraft carriers to the Middle East, after the British Ministry of Defence said one of its two main aircraft carriers had been placed on "high alert".
