Over 100 dead in catastrophic flooding in Texas! Search for survivors continues

The catastrophic floods that began on July 4 in Texas, USA, have caused a historic tragedy in the country.

At least 109 people have been confirmed dead, including 28 children, authorities say.

Kerr County - the epicenter of the disaster

In Kerr County, 87 bodies have been found, including 56 adults and 30 children, while about 23 victims still remain unidentified.

Teams from the military, National Guard and volunteers have rescued 520 people, including 361 children, with helicopters, boats and sniffer dogs.

The rescue operation was difficult due to the difficult terrain.
Local authorities have been criticized for the lack of a local warning alarm, due to the lack of a flood siren system.

President Donald Trump announced he would visit the area on Friday, declaring a national emergency. Governor Greg Abbott declared a day of prayer and pledged financial support for the installation of sirens in Kerr County.
