Meeting at the UN, Israeli ambassador: Regime change in Iran depends on the Iranian people themselves

The United Nations Security Council is meeting in an emergency session today to discuss the escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran, as well as the US military intervention against Iranian nuclear facilities.

During the meeting, Israel's UN ambassador, Danny Danon, warned that if Iran continues to attack Israeli citizens, it will face "unstoppable and just force."

Danon also stated that he hopes for a better future for the Iranian people, emphasizing that:

"We pray for change for the Iranian people, but this change must come from within Iran itself, not from Israel."

Regarding the American attacks on strategic facilities in Iran, the Israeli ambassador stressed that "it is still too early to make a full assessment of the consequences," leaving open any further developments in the region.

The UN meeting comes at a time of growing concern about the spread of conflict and the destabilization of the Middle East region following direct US military intervention in the Iranian nuclear program.
