Millions of citizens "isolated", internet outage in Iran exceeds 1000 hours

Iran's massive internet outage has now passed the 1,000-hour mark, leaving millions of citizens isolated from the global network in one of the longest digital blackouts in recent years.
Most of the country has reportedly been cut off from the internet since late February, coinciding with the escalation of conflict in the region. Access to the network remains limited and available only to a small number of users who can afford the high costs of alternative connections.
Meanwhile, Pakistan is preparing to host officials from Iran and the United States for possible peace negotiations.
This long outage has raised serious concerns about human rights and access to information, as Iranian citizens face difficulties in communication, information, and economic activity.
Analysts point out that restricting the internet not only affects the daily lives of the population, but also reduces transparency over developments on the ground, at a time when international attention is focused on the situation in the region.
