From Butler to Charlie Kirk, acts of violence in America continue unabated

From the attacks on Donald Trump, first in Butler and then in West Palm Beach, to the murder of Charlie Kirk and most recently the shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, the 'bloodbath' of violent America continues.
The incident at the Hilton Hotel in Washington, which could have turned into a massacre and in which a Secret Service agent was injured, is just the latest in a long line of violent acts.
In July 2024, Trump was shot while on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The president miraculously escaped the attack.
A few months later, in September, there was another assassination attempt against Donald Trump, this time at his golf club in West Palm Beach: the president was between the fifth and sixth holes when a Secret Service agent in front of him noticed the barrel of a rifle protruding from the fence and intervened, opening fire, scaring off the gunman, who was later captured.
Then, in February 2026, a man managed to sneak into Mar-a-Lago in the middle of the night with a rifle and a can of gasoline.
The Secret Service, with the help of Palm Beach police, confronted him and, in the face of his resistance and refusal to drop his weapons, shot him dead.
However, the president was not in what is known as the Winter White House at the time.
In September 2025, Charlie Kirk, right-wing activist and ally of Donald Trump and star of the MAGA movement, was murdered.
Kirk was shot dead from dozens of feet away while speaking to students on the campus of Utah Valley University.
It was a death that shocked America, and one that his wife, Erika Kirk, commemorated again at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
Her widow was present at the White House Correspondents' Dinner and, after the gunshots and the evacuation of the president, was seen crying, saying she wanted to leave.
