This was Sali Berisha's statement about Lulzim Basha, the most sincere statement of his life, made in the Albanian Parliament. Why the most sincere? At that time, he was not non grata, he had no problems, his family was getting richer, and he really continued to be the leader in the shadows, but without cost.
Lulzim Basha has a big fault: He never told the Democrats that in 2004 Sali Berisha was actually non grata, in the entire West. Nobody knew him, nobody believed him. That's why he took Lulzim Basha, a man with strong connections in the US, which were later used in the DP government, for historic achievements.
It was a fact that Sali Berisha surpassed Lulzim Basha in every position, when things unattainable for him had to be achieved.
- Durrës–Kukës: How is it possible that Berisha entrusted such a position to a young man, a lawyer like Lulzim Basha?! Because Berisha knew that he was the only one who was untainted in corrupt affairs in previous DP governments and the most reliable to reach financial agreements for the realization of this project, the most important for Albanians.
- Why was Lulzim Basha appointed to the Foreign Ministry when NATO membership was being discussed? Because Berisha knew better than anyone that he was the only one who had, as he still does today, open doors in Washington to lobby for NATO membership. Not coincidentally, his first meeting as Foreign Minister was at the State Department.
- How is it possible that at the moment when Albania had to fulfill its commitment to visa liberalization, Lulzim Basha was appointed Minister of Interior?! Because Berisha knew that there was no one else who could do such a thing, already with proven successes in government.
- How is it possible that he ran for the Municipality of Tirana, which he had not won for many consecutive terms? Because all the polls showed Berisha that Lulzim Basha was the only one who could win. And today he is the only one who has defeated Edi Rama.
These are facts that Sali Berisha simply becomes ridiculous and disgusting when he seeks to lie and take the Democrats for fools.
Lulzim Basha managed to get the highest historical result of the DP in 2021 and there is no Albanian who does not know that Edi Rama stole that victory. Unlike 2025 when Sali Berisha changed the electoral code only to enable Edi Rama to triumph, as part of their agreement for the DP seal.
But while Sali Berisha should have focused on Basha's and the DP's battle in 2021 with the internationals, with the "black book" of the elections, which Berisha then stole and, to his shame, sold to the Albanians as his own idea, he took care of his own troubles, after being declared non grata. It is not his fault, because his troubles are very great.
Today, to his shame, Sali Berisha forgets McGonigal and, just like Rama, accuses Basha. McGonigal is convicted in the US and has even admitted to collaborating with Rama against Basha, for what Berisha today calls the "Muzin file". What a shame and what a mockery of the Democrats. But this simply shows that Sali Berisha is a puppet of Edi Rama.
Today, Taulant Balla mentioned us, a big lie. Why don't you tell the Democrats how Taulant Balla forced me to cooperate with Jozefina Topalli? In Parliament, Balla said on February 3 that he had collaborated with Topalli against Basha in 2021. Fact, not rumor. So you have Balla's collaborator against the Democrats today at the head of the DP and it is no coincidence, since he has appointed most of the committee heads.

He is so immersed that not even 11 million euros in lobbying have helped him in the US. He is non grata and unwanted in the US, Britain, and Europe.
Today, the Berisha family continues to get rich, obtain permits, tenders and live better than any other Albanian, owning houses all over Europe. While the Democrats eat the grass that Sali Berisha gives them with his daily deceptions, while he continues to destroy the DP.

Berisha's deceptions have been exposed. There is no Albanian who does not know that he is with Edi Rama and that his only interest is the interest of his biological family.
