"He has no idea what he's talking about!"/ Trump responds to German Chancellor on Iran: I'm doing what you should have done a long time ago!
Donald Trump has reacted to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who stated that the Iranians are "significantly stronger than expected", while the United States "does not have a convincing negotiating strategy".
Through the Truth Social platform, the American president wrote that Merz "has no idea what he's talking about and that it's no wonder Germany is doing so poorly, both economically and in other areas."
"German Chancellor Friedrich Merz thinks it's okay if Iran has nuclear weapons. He has no idea what he's talking about! If Iran had nuclear weapons, the whole world would be hostage."
"I am doing something with Iran, right now, that other countries or presidents should have done long ago. No wonder Germany is doing so poorly, both economically and in other areas! - President Donald Trump," he wrote.
We recall that a day ago, Friedrich Merz stated for his part that the Iranian leadership is "humiliating" the United States in this conflict.
According to him, Washington appears to lack a clear strategy and it remains unclear how to get out of the crisis.
"The Iranians are significantly stronger than expected, and the Americans clearly do not have a truly convincing strategy in negotiations," Merz said.
He added that the problems in such conflicts are always the same: "It's not enough just to enter the conflict, you also have to exit it. We saw this very painfully in Afghanistan for 20 years. We saw it in Iraq too."
Speaking further, the German Chancellor said: "At the moment I don't see what exit strategy the Americans will choose, especially since the Iranians are negotiating very skillfully, or rather, avoiding negotiation very skillfully."
