War escalates, Ukrainian drones strike Moscow oil refinery

Dozens of Ukrainian drones headed toward Moscow on Monday, striking oil refineries in the Russian capital for the second time this week. Kiev described the attack as a demonstration of its growing capabilities that it said should force Russia to accept a peace deal.
On the other hand, Russia hit Kiev with missiles, also for the second time this week, after an attack that damaged Kiev's historic 1,000-year-old monastery and prompted international condemnation.
In Moscow, flames and plumes of smoke rose above the densely populated Kapotnya neighborhood in the southeast of the city, home to the refinery that supplies the capital with fuel.
"Air defense forces continue to repel a massive attack. Several drones managed to reach the Moscow oil refinery," said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that 555 drones were shot down across the country, while Sobyanin stated that 180 of them were neutralized in the Moscow region alone.
