The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was embarrassed by journalists this Thursday, after being asked about the issue of expensive multi-million dollar lobbying in the US to remove the "Non Grada" design for corruption, undermining democracy and obstruction of justice.

When asked who paid these large sums, Berisha replied that they were made by the Democratic Party. But the DP leader was in trouble after journalists reminded him that he had initially stated that the battle against the "nongrata" was personal and that the DP would not interfere.

Sali Berisha: That lobbying, who paid for it, is a foundation that helps the DP and has undertaken to defend the DP's cause.

You said you had a personal battle and you wouldn't involve the DP in this issue?

Sali Berisha: No, I said I returned when they wanted to control the DP. Then I can't say that I am not the leader of the DP.
