Putin meets with Chinese Foreign Minister! Russian President: Moscow and Beijing must send a strong signal of cooperation to the world

During yesterday's meeting in the Kremlin with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Putin noted that Russia-China relations continue to develop at a high level, through practical cooperation that deepens in various fields.
The “Russia-China Year of Culture” is an example of strengthening the foundations of bilateral friendship.
Noting that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory in the Great Patriotic War, Putin extended an invitation to Chinese representatives to participate in commemorative events in Russia.
He stressed the shared historical significance of celebrating victories over Nazism and Japanese militarism, stating that Russia is fully preparing for the occasion.
He added that this historic moment should take the Russia-China comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights and strengthen multilateral cooperation within frameworks such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and BRICS.
Amid global turbulence, Putin stressed the need for the two nations to continuously send a strong signal of enhanced strategic coordination to the world.
Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, stressed that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Russia relations have matured into a resilient and stable partnership, characterized by deepening political trust, closer strategic alignment and consistent practical cooperation.
This cooperation, he noted, has safeguarded the development of the two countries and common interests in major international and regional issues.
Wang said that China-Russia cooperation "never targets third parties" and remains impervious to external interference, stressing that the relationship "will continue to expand, not stagnate," with a vision oriented towards the long-term future.
He recalled that over 80 years ago, the people of China and the Soviet Union fought tenaciously on the Asian and European fronts, sacrificing immensely to defeat Japanese militarism and Nazi fascism, thus resolutely contributing to global peace.
Today, as the main stabilizing force in a turbulent world, China and Russia must jointly uphold the results of World War II, safeguard the post-war international order, and strengthen the central role of the United Nations in the global system.
