North Macedonia's Interior Minister, Pance Toshkovski, said that 13 people have been arrested so far, and there will be more arrests in connection with the tragedy in Kocani, where 59 people lost their lives.
According to him, there are 23 suspects, 11 of whom are under arrest with a 48-hour detention period. Toshkoski said that the investigation has found that the "Pulse" nightclub did not have a certificate for the use of pyrotechnics, which should have been obtained from the police.
He said that because of corruption and crime, we are losing the lives of our children.
"This discotheque facility, if you ask me, is a stable, it has been operating like this for 15 years with criminality, corruption with bribes, illegal after all conditions. I read them, no conditions have been met that must be met by law. There are 23 suspects, 11 of them are in custody. The rest, by order of the Public Prosecutor, we will take action during the day and we will not stop here," said the Minister of Interior.
