US President Donald Trump says the US will send various pieces of military equipment to Ukraine. In his statement, the US president emphasized that the US will send sophisticated weapons to Ukraine.

The US president confirmed that the equipment will include Patriot missile defense systems, “which Ukraine needs.” Some reports suggest the US will also send offensive weapons.

Trump also criticized Vladimir Putin, saying that "he talks well and then bombs everyone in the evening."

Ukrainian President Zelensky said last week that the US had begun delivering military supplies to Ukraine, as Russian airstrikes intensified.
